Why these countries?

 

The prerequisites to comply with the Migration Regulations 1994 (Cth) requires candidates for this particular visa subclass to have at least:

 

English

  • You have completed five years of study at a secondary or higher institution where the instruction was in English, provide the following information:
      • Name and location of the institution/s
      • Level of qualification/s
      • Official transcript from the secondary or tertiary institution
      • Number of contact hours of instruction per week delivered in English
      • Number of years of study

 

OR

 

  • English Language Test – IELTS 5
  • You are the holder of a valid passport issued by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland and you are a citizen of that country.

 

Skills Assessment

Skills in Australia are defined in the ANZSCO – Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations.

 

Skills assessments are issued by relevant skills assessing authorities. A skills assessing authority is an organization that checks that your skills meet the standards they set to work in a relevant occupation.

 

Not all nationals require skills assessment.
